Bodegas Luzón and Real Murcia, two entities with deep roots in our land, have sealed their commitment with the launch of a special limited edition of Altos de Luzón Monastrell 2022 Real Murcia. With only 1000 numbered units, this initiative is more than a tribute: it is a celebration of our identity and a toast to tradition and excellence.
A wine with history
The Monastrell grape, Jumilla‘s emblematic variety, finds its maximum expression in these bottles. Altos de Luzón Monastrell 2022 is a true reflection of the land where it was born, a land marked by a challenging climate and austere soils, where the vines strive to give the best of themselves. Each bottle encapsulates the spirit of self-improvement that Real Murcia and Bodegas Luzón share: hard work, passion and deep-rootedness.
For its production, the grapes are harvested by hand in boxes of 10 to 15 kg, ensuring their integrity and quality, being transported to the winery with great care. After resting in cold storage at 6°C for 24 hours, they are meticulously selected on the table before vatting and vinification. Fermentation, controlled between 24 and 26°C, lasts 8 to 10 days, followed by maceration for 10 to 15 days in contact with the skins. Subsequently, the red wine matures in American and French oak barrels for 12 months, reaching its fullness and complexity.

Deep red in colour with ruby highlights, Altos de Luzón Monastrell 2022 seduces at first sight. On the nose, it displays a symphony of expressive and intense aromas that combine red and black fruits with spicy notes and subtle smoky hints from the ageing process. On the palate, it is fresh and frank, showing its fruity character, with a balanced structure and fine tannins that lead to a persistent and elegant finish. With an alcohol content of 15%, this crianza red wine is a faithful testimony to the intensity and personality of its origin.
Served between 14 and 16°C, it is the ideal companion for sharing with friends and family. It is not just a wine, it is an experience that connects those who taste it with the history and passion of our land.
