The duration of this process in our winery was more than three months in total, a harvest two weeks ahead of the previous year, which predicted a challenge ahead.
On the other hand, the weather has made Jumilla smile during the past year, exceeding the annual average rainfall of 300 cubic millimeters that, after a very hot summer, will come to a sigh to our vineyards, also being helpful the presence of winds that benefited harvest by keeping out potential pests and fungi.
It has been an atypical harvest given that the work crews carried out their working hours with masks to protect themselves from the pandemic, obeying new organization and security protocols.
So much effort on the part of the winery and our team only leaves good expectations for our harvest of the year 2020, where both vine growers and winemakers of the D.O.P agree that the wines made in 2020 augur a historic vintage in the Jumilla PDO.To learn more about our wines, you can access them through this link or if you want to understand more about the production process, don’t miss our new corporate video, available on our YouTube channel.
