Vicente Micó, our oenologist, collected the winery’s prize from Almudena Maíllo del Valle, Councilor responsible for the Delegated Tourism Area, who presided the event. In addition to our winery, prizes also went to other important figures including José Polo, sommelier at Atrio restaurant, the Basque Culinary Center, Horcher restaurant and Hebalife Nutrition, among others.
The jury recognised Bodegas Luzón’s focus on the efficient use of resources and our commitment to the conservation of the environment and natural heritage, as well as our innovative production of organic, vegan-friendly wines, which are clarified using entirely plant-based materials.
Bodegas Luzón is one of the few wineries to be Wineries for Climate Protection (WfCP) certified, something which defines it as an environmentally sustainable winery thanks to our implementation of a rigorous sustainability and continuous improvement policy.
Our winery is one of the largest producers of wine in the Jumilla Protected Designation of Origin. Our products have a distinctive personality and a high level of prestige among experts and consumers.
An award that puts in value our commitment with the environment and our fight against climate change.
