‘Vendimia Abierta’ (Open Harvest) is back, our most awarded wine tourism activity, awarded in 2021 by the website Verema as the second best wine tourism experience in Spain, being the first in Murcia and already a benchmark in wine tourism in our region.

We will celebrate the start on 9 September with the beginning of two activities that will take place every weekend until the 24th of the same month: On the one hand, the already famous ‘Vendimia en Familia’ (Harvest with the Family), an ideal experience to share with the family, where both children and adults will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of wine.

The ‘Family Harvest’ will share the calendar with ‘De la uva a la copa’ (From the grape to the glass), an experience in which the protagonists are our grapes and through which a journey takes place that will guide attendees from our vineyards to the glass, revealing the intricate processes that shape our wines to end with an exclusive tasting, reserved only for the harvest season.

The September agenda will conclude with ‘Creciendo con el Vino’ (Growing up with Wine), which will take place on weekends from 30 September to 8 October. In it, attendees will play, compare and discover the evolution of wine before it reaches the glass, going through the different stages of wine creation while tasting wines directly from the tank, barrel and, of course, from the bottle.

October will feature the most creative activities of all the days, starting with  ‘Enólogo por un día’ (Winemaker for a day), on the weekends from 14 to 22 October, in which participants will create their own wine, experimenting with blends and varieties in order to make their own wine from start to finish, including the creation of the label. However, the ‘Taller de pintura con vino’ (Wine painting workshop) will undoubtedly be the most artistic action of all. On the 29th of October, a different kind of tasting will be enjoyed, while an artistic work is created in which the pigment to be used will be the wine itself and in which the artists, once the workshop is finished, will receive a bottle of wine as a gift in which the label will be the illustration they have created.

In November, the activities will have a much more gastronomic character, with a ‘Cata Maridaje de jamón y embutidos ibéricos’ (Ham and Iberian sausages pairing tasting) on the 4th of November and another ‘Cata maridaje de vino y queso’ (Wine and cheese pairing tasting) on the 5th of November, in which our wines and Palancares cheeses will come together in a perfect pairing with the help of the sommelier Guillermina Sanchez.

The month and ‘Open Harvest’ will culminate with the celebration of the  ‘Día Europeo del Enoturismo’ (European Wine Tourism Day), on 11 and 12 November, which will include a visit with a tasting of 2 wines with an aperitif, at a special price of 6€, which also includes a 20% discount on all the wines in the shop.
