The famed wine critic James Suckling has rated our Luzón Colección Monastrell with 93 points, one of the best scores for a young red wine from Jumilla and a push for one of the most valued wine references not only of our winery, but also of the DOP Jumilla:

“A pretty nose of wild plum, dark cherry, blackberry, violet, tar, crushed stone and nutmeg. It’s medium-to-full-bodied with fine tannins and bright acidity, Spicy, with supple, fruity character. Textured finish with excellent length. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.” _ James Suckling.

In addition to this score, we add the recognitions also been fortunate to receive this vintage, such as the double Gold Medal and the Honorable Mention for the best young Monastrell of the Jumilla DOP in the XVII Quality Contest of the Wines of Jumilla, recognition that we obtained for the third consecutive year, and that undoubtedly marks us as correct the path we take every year, always pursuing that never-attainable goal of excellence.

To this vintage, we can also add the 90 points received by the Peñín Guide, the most recognized Spanish-language wine guide both in our country and in Latin America, a guide in which our winery’s references are already regular and where Luzón Colección Monastrell also obtained five additional stars, which classify it as an unbeatable option for its quality/price ratio.

LUZÓN COLECCIÓN MONASTRELL

Luzón Colección Monastrell defines itself as the purest expression of the Monastrell. A powerful, long wine, with a nose loaded with aromas of red fruits, cherries, strawberries and black plums, with a spicy finish that takes us directly to the Mediterranean. A juicy and fresh wine, full-bodied with a very pleasant sensation and a long finish that lingers on the palate. A wine created with the aim of representing a landscape and a variety, the Monastrell.

AN INTERNATIONAL WINE

Scores and recognitions that project both our Luzón Colección Monastrell, as well as the wines from our winery and the PDO Jumilla itself, a symbol of quality in terms of wine both in our country, as well as in the rest of the world.
