Top 20 “Best Buys” of Wine Enthusiast: Featuring Luzón Colección Monastrell

Our Luzón Colección Monastrell keeps achieving international recognition. A few months ago the recognized Wine Enthusiast publication awards it with 90 points, now the same magazine has included it on its TOP-100 “best buys” ranking, or best buys of 2020, reaching 19th international position and being the second Spanish wine included on the list, where references from all around the world are incorporated, highlighting our Monastrell inside his first top 20 references.

This award recalls, once again, the quality and dedication of the job of a whole team, which is reflected on the customers election, the main characters of each step our winery takes forward.

The Monastrell of Jumilla stands out for offering wines with potent flavours, in which fruity notes predominate, and intense colours, like its signature red-purple colour.

Without a doubt, we are talking about the grape that characterizes Bodegas Luzón and of course, the Protected Designation of Origin Jumilla. A unique variety that grows under special conditions and in which Jumilla finds its maximum expression. And we can evidence it thanks to our wines, those we make with such dedication from this native grape.

It is a variety that sprouts and ripens late, in warm zones like Jumilla. The altitude and soil, along with the jumillian weather, yield a very sweet fruit that is generally black or blue-grey in colour. All of this features make the Monastrell of Jumilla one of the favourites of wine lovers.
