The new vintage of our Luzón Dulce arrives, a sweet wine made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, different, atypical, cheeky… surprising in the land of the Monastrell.
From this white grape variety, used in coupages or used to produce wines of dry character and fresher cut, which stands out for its herbaceous aromas and refreshing high acidity, we produce a coupage of this variety, our Luzón Colección Blanco, one of our freshest and youngest wines and our Luzón Dulce, a sweet wine that is out of the expected…
Our Luzón Dulce begins its journey with a late manual harvest, which we carry out at the end of September in our plot in Los Cerrillares (Jumilla), when the clusters have undergone the raisining process, which allows the grapes to achieve the maximum concentration of sugars and flavor in each one of them.
After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and pressed to obtain the must, which is then transferred to steel tanks where it undergoes alcoholic fermentation for 12 days. After this time, the must will be transferred to French oak barrels for aging for 8-10 months, at which time we will have obtained its maximum expression.
The result is a wine with a beautiful golden straw color and greenish sheen and a deeply aromatic and complex nose in which we can initially perceive aromas of honey, caramel, vanilla, quince and orange peel, to continue with notes of orange blossom, just before taking it to the palate. At this point, we will receive that caramel that we mentioned in the nose, spices and pepper. A tremendously voluptuous, round and extremely refined wine.
A perfect wine to pair with white meats and spicy dishes, seafood, cheese boards, vegetables that need to be accompanied by a fresh wine, with good acidity, light and aromatic and of course, desserts.
